A minor departure from the norm ... almost a space filler, so to speak...

where Beer-to-go is sold at this small commercial brewery located within the heart of The Baystate Village in the Florence section of Northampton, MA.
The plan called for Kelley to stop in at the brewery on Saturday and pick up a selection or two for a get-together on Sunday. Kelley picked up a four pack each of The IPA and The Hazy from a selection including their regular brew offerings -
•The IPA
•The Hazy
•Just Enough Haze
•The Lager-German Style Pilsner
We got together mid-afternoon on Sunday under the awning at Lisa and Kelley's home and while enjoying very good cold beer in special SU mugs, we caught up on family goings-on since our last get-together the Sunday before Memorial Day. After enjoying some beer and snacks (chips, dip, and fruit), Lisa and Kelley put together a full-fledged cook-out with grilled kabobs, grilled zucchini, and fabulous homemade potato salad.
I sampled two of The IPAs and one The Hazy. Excellent brews!

Building 8 Brewing is housed in a former factory, occupying a 3,500 square foot section.
The brewery employs a 15-barrel system, with the capacity to brew 4 times a month. The product is sold in 16 oz cans which will are filled by a semi-automatic canning system, processing 15 cans per minute. The brewery features a company store. Here you can purchase brewery gear and beer to go.
The Cutlery Building is a multi-tenant former mill building which has been converted into a multi-use property. It is conveniently located in the Baystate section of Northampton (Florence), MA.
Our intent is to try other examples of their brews and find out more about their long-range intentions.
Hoping to get back on the trail again soon ...
Cheers!
