It's been a busy end of Summer and start of Fall. With school, soccer, rowing, driving lessons, shopping and work, all making demands on Kelley and Lisa's time, we zeroed in on the first of October as being our next outing. Leave it to Kelley to identify a venue so close that we were amazed that we had never heard of it before. So, we thought we'd see what Outlook Farm in neighboring Westhampton was all about.
As we drove up, we first noticed the overflowing parking lot and the number of cars pulled off the road onto the edges of fields. Seemed like a sign that something good was happening. To all our surprise, this former livestock farm now home to a number of large orchards had lots to offer - a large farm market and store - pick your own apples - a grill for hot food - and believe it or not, a winery and brewery with an outdoor 'taproom' and stage with live music. The old slaughterhouse has been converted into a brewery. A large lawn area was equipped with tables, chairs, umbrellas, and picnic tables and benches.

We found a table with an umbrella and three chairs right away and quickly settled in to absorb the friendly vibe Outlook offers. Further - we had a terrific choice of brews to select from.

My first selection was the Slaughterhouse India Pale Ale which I found to be exceptionally good and the right choice for a mid 70s early Fall day. Kelley had the NEIPA - Hazy and Lisa, as anticipated by me, chose the Blueberry Pale Ale.
Settling in while Lisa went to take pictures.
As we sipped our beverages, took in the views and were entertained by Jim Bailey and his backup band, we snacked on salsa and chips.

Our second round of drinks featured Outlook Pale Ale for me and Blueberry Pale Ale for both Lisa and Kelley. Although I thoroughly enjoyed the Outlook Pale Ale, I think I preferred the Slaughterhouse IPA.

Kelley and I enjoying our refreshments while listening to the entertainment. Lisa was busy taking pictures. Yes, I used this picture twice. The fact is, I made a mistake and couldn't figure out how to undo it. C'est la vie!
